First pictures of the new acquisition...
This was the "package" that I had to pick up yesterday! x9x
The little LTM 1050-3.1 was acquired to help in the setting up of the big 1,200 tonne capacity LTM 11200-9.1.
Crane type: LTM1, capacity: 050 tonnes, axles: 3, series: 1

LTM 1050-3.1 "Beauty Shots":

Post by Pete Coleman » Mon Mar 05, 2012 2:11 pm

Here are some pics of the new "Baby" crane.
I will be doing a photo record of a complete build up of the BIG LTM 11200-9.1 crane when the crew arrive from China.
This "Baby" crane will be used to help in that build up.
Enjoy (or not)!
Cheers,
Pete.

Did you know that there are many, many model plant & equipment shows in Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Ireland and Australia.
We (the Brits), have one very, very small show...
There are also lots of "fan"-sites and Forums for admirers of real farming and construction equipment in those countries too.
We (the Brits), have a couple...
We do actually have a dedicated magazine but it has to cover both agricultural and construction machines.
Yet, there are many collectors of farming and construction models in the UK, so what gives?

I am planning to build a diorama setting for my cranes and I would have liked to exhibit it at model shows but unless it is controlled by radio, runs on railway tracks or has attic bedrooms and a basement kitchen, there is little hope for showing these off at British model shows...
Unless of course, you know different! XdhX
Cheers,
Pete.

OK, just to annoy the heck out of Maurice, I have ordered the Sennebogen lattice boom crawler crane from Germany, will be about a week or so until it arrives.
Still I've got my hands rather full until then x4x ...
Cheers,
Pete.
