Chris, the Entering port on Victory today is lined with what looks like a hardwood framing, and I replicated this on my model.

Thanks for that. Brown walnut paint it shall be then.

So (not that we are anwhere near decorating the cabin yet - still just finishing off gunport framing and considering the lower hull plating....) but need to ask..... are there any paintings I should be specifically looking out for to scale down to use to adorn the cabin walls? Or does anything nautical within reason fit the bill.

Well Chris, sad as I am these are the two that I used on my Victory.

This one hangs in the Great Cabin.

Hardy's portrait hangs in the Captains Dining Room, and can just be seen if the skylight is removed.

A small amusement I think :)
