The Eye Bolts around the Mizzen Mast

Post by Canoe21 » Wed Jul 23, 2014 8:21 pm

Hi All

I am looking for information on the eye bolts that ate around the Mizzen Mast Base, my kit calls for 15 eye bolts, the real ship has but 6, can any one out there explain why my kit requires 15 and just where all of these would be connected, I mean is there a printed diagram of this area of the HMS Victory. I would appreciate very much on any information that the member may have on this little problem that I have discovered.

Regards Lawrence

15 sounds tooooo much :-)

McKay also shows 6 of them.

Hi Lawrence, does your kit have the pin rail around the Mizen mast, if not just wondering if they are making up for the absence by extra eyebolts around the foot. I can't imagine what 15 eyebolts around the Mizen would be for.
